Finally, after eleven conferences held nationwide, the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) will hold its 12th annual conference on August 3-4, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s event will be co-hosted by the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Georgia (VABA-GA). Adding to the excitement, NCVAA will also be hosting its first Barristers’ Ball at the W Atlanta-Midtown Hotel. We proudly invite you to join us, through attendance and sponsorship, as we continue to advocate for, serve and give back to the community.

NCVAA and VABA-GA are both non-profit organizations whose mission is threefold: (1) to promote the education and professional development of Vietnamese Americans in the legal community; (2) to support research and education on legal issues of significance to our community; and (3) to provide a statewide and national network for Vietnamese American attorneys to exchange ideas relating to the legal profession. Both organizations provide scholarships, mentorship, and networking opportunities for legal professionals and those who wish to pursue a career in law. Additionally, both organizations provide educational seminars and often collaborate with other organizations to educate the public on legal and civic issues.

Our conference, based on the theme “Rise Up” kicks off on Friday, August 3, 2018 with a reception and networking event with 100+ attendees followed by a full-day conference with approved continuing legal education credits (usually 5 or 6 credits) the next day. The conference ends with an inspiring and entertaining Barristers’ Ball (a black-tie event) with over 300 attendees, where two promising students will be presented academic scholarships. Many of us have made lifelong friends through this annual conference, which has proven to be a great venue for networking and fellowship.
